Valentyn Nalyvaychenko, Acting Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, informed the People´s Deputies of the duties of the Service, enhancement of its coordinating function, and activity of new departments. Thus, due to the reports of the State Security Service, criminal proceedings have been instituted on 1 669 cases. The cost of property and valuables that have been confiscated and returned into State acquest due to the court decisions in criminal cases investigated by inquiry bodies of the Security Service of Ukraine rates 9,4 million Hryvnias. Public economic sector regained financial and material valuables for an amount of more than 210 million Hryvnias.
The Committee will create a working group including representatives of the Committee and the Security Service. The said working group is to scrutinize the legislative proposals of the Service.
